The Beginning
Where It All Began
Heights Brewing was born from a shared love of craft beer and a commitment to serving our community. Co-owners Ryan Kavanagh and Shawn MacDonell are local homebrewers who are excited to bring Heights Brewing to the historic building that was previously home to local favorites.
What sets us apart is our dedication to offering naturally gluten-free beer and food options. We understand the challenges faced by those with gluten sensitivities, and we've built our entire operation around providing safe, delicious options without compromising on taste or quality.

A Naval Academy graduate and former semi-pro football player, Ryan's passion for beer led him to homebrewing and working with area microbreweries. His dedication to craft and quality drives the exceptional beers at Heights Brewing.
Shawn MacDonell
Co-Owner & Operations
With extensive business experience in food service and retail management, Shawn brings operational excellence to Heights Brewing. Her personal mission is to ensure customers with gluten-free dietary needs have delicious and naturally safe options.
